1. Ha a fordítás még mindíg elakad, és van ilyen csomagod, akkor azt ajánlatos feltenni, főleg mert amit beszúrtál, az is gyanúsan az iclude fájlokkal problémázik, ami ha így külön van választva a SuSe -ben, akkor a kernel-headers csomi-ban van.
2. Legyen fent a kernel-source is (=kernel forrás, abból is az architektúrádnak megfelelő,ha van ilyen, pl.: i386, i586, p4, vagy athlon)
3. A /usr/src/ -ben ha már fönt van a kernel -forrás könyvtár, és csak ez az egy ''valami'' található itt, akkor csinálnod kell egy szim-linket a kernel_verzió -ról linux néven így:
cd /usr/src
ln -s kernel_verzió linux
4. na most próbáld ezzel:
./configure --with-cards=au8830 --with-sequencer=yes --with-oss=yes
make
make install -

Próbáld ki úgy, hogy az mc -ben (ha nem ismered: Midnight Commander fájlkezelő) entert nyomsz az rpm fájlra, vagyis belelépsz, és megnézed hogy van -e egyáltalán benne valami, és hova való.:)
A tar -nál más a helyzet, mert azt nem ''te teszed fel'', hanem a fordítás utolsó fázisaként a make install parancs. -

No ácsi, ez most az rpm -ből feltett alsa, vagy amit fordítottál??(feltéve hogy sikerült)
Nem mindegy, mert nem feltétlen ugyan oda teszi a /lib/..../sound -ot mindkettő.
Lehet még itt is /lib/modules/kernel_verzió/sound <-- ide akkor kerül, ha nem a kernelből származik(2.4 -esben csak patch -ként lehet, 2.6 -os viszont eleve ''belül'' tartalmazza), hanem te fordítod külsőleg. Ez azért van, hogy nehogy keveredés legyen amiatt, hogy ugyanoda mennek. -

Na akkor ajánlok én neked egy olyat, hogy: lsmod <--ez megmondja milyen modulok vannak betöltve. Ha találsz közte olyat hogy snd-''valami'', akkor az a hangkártya drivere, (tudtommal csak az aktuális hangkarihoz tartozó lehet betöltve) de valószínűbb hogy nincs bent, mert ha lenne, mennének a mixerek. Szóval ha semmi snd..., akkor add ki ezt: modprobe snd-au8830 <--ezzel a drivert betöltöd. Most írj egy ilyet: alsactl restore <-- mixer-szintek visszaállítása, de ez nem fontos, viszont az alsactl store (mixer-szintek tárolása) később jól jöhet.(az alsactl progi az alsa-utils csomagban van, legalábbis Gentoo -nál.) A /lib/modules/kernel_verzió/kernel/sound/pci/ -ben nézhetsz más drivereket is, ha nem jó amit mondtam. Ha az előzőek rendben vannak, próbálj egy ilyet alsamixer Ha látod a ''csúszkákat'', 1. Vehetsz egy nagy levegőt:), 2. kipróbálhatod a többi mixert (grafikus-ak).

1. Ha a fordításnál sipákol, akkor az utolsó pár, -főleg gyanús- sort szúrd be ide, én meg majd meglátom mit tehetek.:) (nyugi, sztem van már annyi rutinom, hogy ráleljek a megoldásra:) )
2. Linux? --> Ha az angolt nem szeressed, akkor eléggé az UHU felé hajlik a pálma, ha viszont ez nem zavar, akkor édemes lehet kipróbálni a Mandrake -t, de ha még egy kis bütykölős affinitást is érzel magadban, akkor debian. (+Ha még van egy legalább közepes géped(->ez úgy látom simán nem gond:) ) mindehhez, akkor Gentoo, és tutira tudok segíteni is.:) ) Most hogy így belegondolok, mindenképp Gentoo -t ajánlok.:)) Hozzáteszem, hogy nem alaptalanul, mert volt(van) már SuSe -m(7.3 dobozos, 8.0 Live CD), Mandrake -m(8.2, 9.0); de a legelső egy Chip CD -s Corel linux volt... Ekkor történt az, hogy valami hihetetlenül megfogott benne, hogy mi, azt nem igazán tudnám megmondani, bár lehet hogy a titokzatossága, illetve ''vadsága''. Akkoriban még elég láma voltam hozzá, így visszakerült a win, csakhogy később egyre erősebb késztetést éreztem, hogy márpedig megint meg kell próbálnom zöldágra vergődni pingussal.:D Mostanra ott tartok, hogy ha kell a game, irány a win(kivéve ha az emulátor megeszi:) ), minden másra ott a Linux.:)
3. Hááát, legjobb Win emu.? Maga a Win...:), csakhogy benne a Vmware -ben, az meg a Linuxban.:D :DDD Na jó, ott van a wine(vagy a fizetős winex), de még mindíg intenzíven fejlesztik. Ha a progi nem a f@szom msi installerrel akar települni, akkor többnyire fel lehet őket pakolni a wine(winex már fifikásabb egy hangyányit:) ) emulátorban.:) -

OK, nincs gaz.
Az a baj, hogy a SUSE viszonylag lassan update-el, meg nincs hivatalos SUSE csomag a 0.9.6-os utani ALSA-bol.
Ellenben vannak remek site-ok, mint pl az rpmseek.com, ahol lehet keresni cuccokat ([L]http://rpmseek.com/rpm-pl/alsa.html?hl=com&cbd=0:A:0::44[/L])
Itt ezek kozul neked a 9.0-as Susehoz valo 1.0.2-es binaris kell, vagyis ez:
[L]http://rpmseek.com/rpm-dl/alsa-1.0.2-0.pm.1.src.html?hl=com&cbd=0:A:0:1144687:44:0:0[/L]
Ha installalod, akkor valoszinuleg jo lesz
(mondjuk en konkretan Debian user vagyok, de olyan bazi nagy kulonbsegek nincsenek)

próbáltam a legujabb alsa t felrakni de nem nagyon ment mert amit megadott parancsokat nem volt hajlandó végrehajtani
pl make install stb
legalábbis a suse nem talált ilyen filet v parancsot
de komolyan nem értem miért nem megy mert minenki ezt javaslta -

Nem ismerem a SuSE-t, úgyhogy nem tudhatom pontosan, hogy mit kell csinálnod.
Egyébként kicsit barátságosabb hangvételű segítségkérésre én (de talán mások is) szívesebben válaszolok...
A bemásolt konfigfile jó akkor, ha csak egy Vortex 2 hangkártyát akarsz használni a gépedben. Olvasd el az ALSA dokumentációját, és leírják, hogy hogyan kell beállítani. Annyit segítettem, hogy a konkrét paramétereket már nem neked kell kitalálnod.
Az én linuxomban egyébként úgy menne a dolog, hogy leállítod az alsa service-t (''/etc/init.d/alsa stop''), utána a file-t bemásolod ''alsa'' néven az /etc/modules.d/ könyvtárba, aztán kiadsz egy modules-update parancsot, végül pedig elindítod az alsa service-t (''/etc/init.d/alsa start''). -

Bemásolom a Vortex 2 kártyámhoz tartozó /etc/modules.d/alsa file-t, hátha ez segít valakinek:

Tényleg nem túl nehéz felrakni és beállítani az ALSA-t, úgy, hogy menjen a Vortex2 kártya.
A Knoppix 3.3 ([L]http://www.knoppix.org/[/L]) egyébként felismeri alapból, és be is tölti hozzá a modulokat, tehát - ha máshogy nem megy - esetleg hasznos lehet abból kinézni a szükséges beállításokat. -

Hogyha az alsa driver (Advancanced Linux Sound valami) megfelelő verziója bent van a Suseban, akkor csak telepited a csomagot, megmondod milyen hangkártyád van, és a többit a suse elvégzi.
Ha nincs, akkor egy kicsit bonyolultabb a helyzet, de akkor is aránylag egyszeűen feltelepithető.
Csak bátran, legalább megismered a Linuxot :) -

én nagyon buta vagyok ehez de le kellene töltenem a drivert vagy micsodát
lehet hogy winfoshoz vagyok szokva de még a linuxot tanulnom kell
