Mára a ProHardver!/IT.News Fórum is nagylétszámú Linuxban jártas taggal büszkélkedhet. Nehéz szinteket felállítani egy olyan rendszer ismeretében, ami annyira sokrétű, hogy teljesen szinte lehetetlen megismerni minden egyes részét. Azt azonban mindenki tudja, hogy kezdő-e vagy sem. bár nem (csak) nekem szól, de:
- igaz, olyat kell felpakolni minden gépre, ami el is megy rajta és megfelel neki -> ezért kérdezősködöm itt
- ésszerű határokon belül el is viselem a lassúságot / inkább, mint a zajt
- gépet meg majd akkor veszek, ha HTPC-t építek, ehhez viszont elég jó tapasztalatgyűjtésként egy P1-est nyúzni. erről jut eszembe, nálad mi fut a HTPC-den? Én majd egy DVB-S és valószínűleg analóg TV tuner kombinációját fogom berakni az enyémbe, ha majd realizálódik az elképzelésem. juj, ez már bizony nem ennek a topiknak a témája...
- ablakkezelő, meg grafikus felület nekem kell, mert én bizony nem tudok annyit linuxul, hogy boldoguljak parancssorból is.

igazad van, a rendszer működik is, bár:
- még nem jutottam el odáig, hogy ne kelljen bepötyögnöm a startx-et
- gnome gyomlálás közben sikeresen megszabadultam egy pár olyan dologtól is, amelyeket (kényelmi szempontból) használnék; pl. az újraindítás és a leállítás inaktív, csakis kijelentkezni tudok
- témák, témák, jaja de előbb legyen már egy rendszerem
jelentem mindkét fajta hal finomra sikerült, épp az előbb fejeztük be az ebédnek hívott tesztelésüket

felment az xfce. ismerkedem vele. buta kérdés lesz, de hogy tudom ezt a felületet a számomra leginkább ismert, windowsos felülethez hasonlóvá tenni? mert most nagyon nem találok semmit ám

a gnome-ot nem én választottam, magától telepítődött.
szóval xfce vagy enlightenment. ki fogom próbálni őket. illetve előbb rájövök a telepítésük és a gnome lecserélésének mikéntjére
a nagy ram zabálókat meg, nem tudom. office-t használnék, meg firefoxot. mást nem igen.

szuper teljesítményt és sebességet nem is vártam el, főleg a memória mennyisége miatt, de azért a ráklikkelek és malmozok, majd megunom dolog se gyere be.
de a legnagyobb gond az mégis az, hogy egyedül a debiant sikerült felcsalnom a gépre. az összes többi belefagyott a telepítésbe vagy be sem bootolt eleve. itt gondolom én gond lehet a régi bios és a scsi hdd is.egyébként win98 sem ment ám föl, vagyis de, csak nem bootol be telepítés után

bevallom férfiasan, engem legyőzni látszik a P1, 64MB RAM, S3 Virge VGA, SCSI (Adaptec-2940) HDD, IDE CDRW és egyéb dolgok csapata... Nem hiszem el, hogy nincs olyan op rendszer, amely elfogadható sebességgel futna rajta és minden működne is egyben.
Debian felment, igaz vagy három óráig telepített a gép, minden más meg egyszerűen megfagyott valahol.

egyelőre a deli linuxot próbálom, ez egyelőre még nem fagyott le.
viszont nem tudom melyik billentyűzetet válasszam, mivel magyart nem találtamna még egy gond. hogy tudok scsi vinyóra partíciót kreálni? telepítés közben azt írja ki, hogy nincs létrehozott partíció, hozzak létre egyet. elindítom a cfdisket de az meg nem látja a scsi vinyót

eljutottam odáig, hogy már a vas egyben van, holnap telepíteni is fogok végre. még nem döntöttem el melyik lenne a legjobb választás: xubuntu, deli, dls, puppy vagy a minimál telepített ubuntu...
már csak egyetlen kérdés. nekem a rendszer scsi vinyón lenne, amit egy adaptec kártya irányít. ez is menni fog linux alatt?
