    Some of Lenovo's business ThinkPad notebooks will be using Ericsson's HSPA solution

    "Along the wide coming in of the mobile internet, it's price is quickly reducing, it's making more and more notebook manufacturers to build HSPA or HSDPA modules into the notebooks besides LAN and WLAN modules, to make them able to connect the web with and own SIM card, without requireing a mobile phone."

    As mobile internet is becoming cheaper and more common, more and more notebook manufacturers choose to build HSPA or HDSPA modules into their products, besides LAN and WLAN adapters. This way notebooks can access the web with an own SIM card, not requiring a separate mobile phone.

    "The HSPA solution of Ericsson gets built into the Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks, it's download speed is 14.4 megabits, the upload is 2 megabits - if the network is adaptable for it. According to marketing analysts, at about 200 millions of notebooks will be sold in 2011, and a half of it will be able to use HSPA - according to the estimates of the Ericsson."

    Lenovo's ThinkPad line will use Ericsson's HSPA solution, with a down speed of 14.4 Mbps, and an up speed of 2 Mbps.
    According to market analysts, about 200 million notebooks will be sold in 2011. Ericsson estimates that half of these will be HSPA-ready.
