As for screen readability: it's a bit hard to read in strong, bright sunlight, but it's not unreadable, so this shouldn't be a great problem, just like efjay said.
It looks like you have to wait just one more blog post for answers about Opera, as part eight will be about that and navigation. Until then feast you eyes on part seven and keep Opera- and navigation-related questions coming!

Thanks efjay for all your feedback, very much appreciated!! Your answer regarding using the mobile in the sunlight calms me down, because this would be a real drawback.
The provided link to the review is really fantastic especially the videos that are shown there.
I’m looking forward to the coming blogs!

As someone who has the phone I can say I am able to use it in direct sunlight with no problem. I am using the automatic backlight function so maybe that helps but I definitely dont have any issues with it outside.
There is also a review at www.theunwired.net if you want another perspective.

Today I found a very extensive review for Omnia on http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Samsung-OMNIA-Review-review-r_1981.html
Unfortunately there was one statement which makes me quite alarming to review my decision regarding my coming mobile phone. One of the main criticisms was the fact that due the low resolution it is almost impossible to use the phone in direct sunlight. That would be a big draw back for me as well….
Did you have the same impression when you use the phone outside? If is this is the case, is there anything Samsung can improve? Thanks again for your feedback!!!

The text is hard to read on some sites, not all and this is down to the resolution not a poor screen, the screen itself is very good and websites, pics are really nice to look at.

Many thanks to Bocha and Szaszati for all your time you spent keeping us informed about the Omnia news!!!

I know that this question was already posted by surethom in blog four, but I'm really interested in the quality of the mobile's display. Therefore I'd like to ask if you could show us the opera browser? surethom has read on some reviews that the text is unreadable when not zoomed in because the screen is poor, is this the case? What is your impression regarding the display?
Thanks in advance and keep on letting us know what's going on in the Omnia space!!
