Like the new scrolling, though I hope you can turn off the clicking sound as that will quickly turn into an issue when in meetings, etc. Good to see Samsung kicking it up, but would really help if we could upgrade the rom ourselves. If Samsung is able to post a WM 6.1 upgrade for the i760 on the web why not for the Omnia?

Sorry for posting it so late, have some problems in translation, but You'll have it for tomorrow morning (localtime).efjay: Yeah, the phone has different launch dates in different countries, because the basic software is the same, but the localization is different, so there might be some differences between the different versions. As for the Pocket IE I will ask Bocha about it.

Thanks for the update, Szaszati. One thing I would like to comment on, I realise the device being tested is a prototype however Samsung held an official launch in Singapre and sold the phone through mobile carriers as well as through their own store. This is where I got my device imported to the US, plus it will also start going on sale in Italy tomorrow the 22nd so I dont think this device is still in prototype status.
Unless Samsung is using these early sales as beta testing?
Whatever the case I am thoroughly enjoying the device, even with the minor flaws.One further question to put to Samsung if you would, do they have any plans for adding the new Pocket Internet Explorer when it is released? Maybe too soon to ask but maybe possible to get a feel for what their feelings are towards it?

surethom1: Blog six is coming very soon, Bocha is checking out your question, you'll have the answer there.
efjay: The Touch player will be discussed in detail in the seventh part of the blog, so just a little bit of more wait and you'll get to know everything about that one too. The bug with the camera resetting the controls is also being checked out, answer coming soon in episode six. As for the Microsoft Voice Command problem: this very well can happen, as i900 is still just a prototype, but I'm confident that this will be solved in the final version.
derogate: 30 fps video recording will be available only in QVGA mode unfortunately, VGA recording is limited to 15 fps.

Hello again, sorry to post yet another question but can you also alert Samsung to the fact that the camera does not retain changes made to the Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness controls, if you make a change and either exit or change to another shooting mode or portrait-landscape-outdoor the settings all revert to 0.

Any idea when the Six Blog will arrive, since the last bit of information to be posted on here the release date for Italy Germany & play.com has the phone & release date for the UK on there web site. Can you please post Blog six & any new information you have, as of a week ago this was the best site to get the information about the omnia but now you a weeks behind, hope this can be rectified.

Thank you for these excellent blog updates! On the subject of video recording, do you have much confidence that they will be able to achieve VGA 30 fps? This is most likely the deciding factor for me on whether or not I buy this phone.
I was hoping the announcement of Divx certification would mean that it would be as capable as the Viewty, but I would've thought we'd know something by now if it was. The leak of the i8510 at a very early stage showing Viewty-like recording features makes me less hopeful for the i900.

Hi, I have received my Omnia now in the US and was wondering if you could check a few things for me.
1. The Touch Player does not appear to play .wmv files, I have a movie which plays fine in WMP but when I browse with the Touch Player it doesnt even recognise my file.
2. Microsoft Voice Command does not work properly with a Bluetooth headset, when I initiate voice dialling Voice Command starts up but no sounds are sent to the headset. Using the A2DP function to stream music does not appear to have any problems.

In the opera browser what would be very useful is to be able to set the percentage of zoom like on the touch diamond you have a hardware wheel to zoom in & our, it would be useful is the volume or optical button whilst in opera enables you to zoom in & out to your own zoom level.
In one of your review you mentioned that the night shots where poor quality, have Samsung amended any of the camera features.
