Multimedia
The 8 MB of internal memory don’t suggest advanced multimedia capabilities, even more since it can’t be expanded. No matter, a 1.3 megapixel is still inside T303, but we shouldn’t expect much of it, there is no flash or autofocus, there aren’t many settings, besides image size and quality we can enable some effects and night mode. We also have a digital zoom and brightness that can be set in five steps. That’s it. We can’t record videos. This has the results you can see below.
Music has a dedicated menu; yeah, it’s really funny; this is really meaningful with 8 MB of memory. The player is very basic, but it can sort the tons of music by ID3 tags, this suggests an incredible amount of self-confidence and ratio missing. The metallic case provides a fine sound quality, but this might be interesting only because of the ringtones.
Oh, that’s not completely true, as there is an FM radio too. It’s rather good, as it has automatic station tuning and RDS. Related to this we have TrackID too, which tries to figure out the artist and title of the track currently played on the radio (it requires an active internet connection). The only problem I had with this was that the target users of T303 are not those who subscribe for GPRS services. Oh, and before I’d forget: we can even record radio broadcasts and create ringtones of them.
