Sony Ericsson T303 - small and metallic

Menu, basic functions

On the inside this too is just a low-end Sony Ericsson. The menu has nine icons, we can spice it up somewhat with themes, but we shouldn’t expect wonders at 128 x 160 pixels. The phonebook can store 2500 information fields in total of 500 contacts, but the number of extra fields for a contact is not too high, but enough in this category. Let’s see what we have: name, many phone numbers, email, picture, ringtone, message tone, title, company, mailing address, birthday and note.

Messaging has the usual things, we have SMS and MMS, the latter can be 100 KB at most. There is no email. We have to face the largest problem of T303: the software is slow. One can type text much faster than it could process it and it’s just a bonus that I wanted to attach an image but until the thumbnails appear we can have a coffee, wash the cup and go down to the store for milk.

There is a nice little calendar in the organizer functions, which has graphical view in month and week views. We can store only one kind of event, but this can repeat. The alarm clock is like in any other Sony Ericsson phone; we can set up five time points in total. There is a countdown timer, stopwatch, calculator, but there is no code memory, although many Sony Ericsson users like it. There are two small games, the good QuadraPop (Tetris clone with sound notes) and Asteroids, which is very lame, no matter the Atari logo on the splash screen.
