Menu, hardware
The CPU in the phone is a 330 MHz TI OMAP 2430, the size of the freely usable internal memory is 150 MB, while the operating system is Symbian OS 9.2 S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. If someone would have a hard time with identifying the system based on version number, then just go and check out our review of the Series 60 platform. There are no problems with the system’s speed, although there is like 1 second of wait at some places, but this is still absolutely okay. Here are the JBenchmark results that help in the comparison with the two N95s:

In the first part of JBenchmark, the crown goes to G810, as although it had weaker results than its opponents in some tests, it is still so much faster in the Animations part, that this can be felt in the final score. In the second part of the test, Samsung’s phone is situated between the two N95’s, and there are no problems with that. However the results of JBenchmark 3D, which demonstrates gaming speed, were quite poor, at least at the real game tests. The reasons are obvious: there is 3D acceleration in N95, but there isn’t in G810.
I won’t go into details about the menu system’s structure and customizability, as there is lots of information about such aspects in the review mentioned above. I shall still write a couple of sentences for those who wouldn’t like to go into details. The menu has a grid layout by default, there are 3 x 4 icons visible on a screen, we can select a list view too, but the horseshoe and other views, known from Finnish models, are not present. There is of course active standby, so we can put quicklaunch icons on the main screen. We can use themes (three are installed by default on G810). Applications installed by users are placed in the Installations folder.
