The music player is the basic Symbian one. Unfortunately it has no equalizer or bass boost, but besides these it’s all right – although these are great words, as these features are quite basic ones nowadays. We can filter tracks by many criteria; the player – thanks to the multi-tasking operating system – can of course run in the background. The application doesn’t display album covers.
The included headset is just like all the other Samsung ones, it just has a 3.5 mm plug, its sound quality is average. Thanks to the jack output we can of course practically connect anything to the phone; I used my small iPod headset to listen to music in good quality. G810 is no big deal when on the speakers, it distorts on high volume. There is an FM radio, which works (surprising, isn’t it?).
The gallery has no extras, there is no rotating-three dimensional-ohmygod view, but it works fine. Everyone should decide if this is good or not. I personally like spectacular solutions where the design won’t decrease usability and speed. Movies can be played back with RealPlayer, so we have to install third party software to play back DivX/XviD files. I couldn’t test the TV-out, but as I have mentioned, this is also included.
