L700 has user profiles, these are presets (mute, meeting, etc.) than can be accustomed to our needs. It might be an important information for our experienced readers that the handset can ring and vibrate at the same time and we can even set vibration and ringtone with an increasing volume. It’s another pleasant feature that we can set SMS tones too, although we can’t choose MP3 files.
The calendar has graphical month and week views, it has a transparent interface. There can be five types of entries: meeting, anniversary, holiday, important and personal and of course the software asks for different parameters for each of these. We can store 100, 50, 50, 20, 20 of these entries, in the same order.
The calculator has basic functions, but it has parentheses, the stopwatch has lap timing and there are nice graphics for the countdown timer. The world clock has list view, no map, and the sound recorder can record 5 minutes. There is an RSS reader, where we can of course add our own feeds (and our site is ready for this) and the alarm clock has lots of settings. This means that we can set the days when to launch the alarm, we can set snooze time and number of repetitions and we can set loud alarm in the muted profile too. Of course the alarm goes off even if the handset is turned off.
We can view Office documents on L700, but we can’t edit them. There is only one game installed on the phone, this is Rayman Kart. It’s a Ubisoft game (it’s strange that they don’t use the name Gameloft over here), it has reminded me to the Wacky Wheels game from PC, plus the most annoying background music in the world.
