Introduction
I have received the G800 with a software partially translated to Hungarian, but all functions – and most importantly the camera – are in a final, ready-for-the-market state. For me – and possibly for our readers too – this was the most important information, since most of the recent mobile phones equipped with a camera didn't really perform well when taking photos (at least the first series of these phones).
The N95 needed approximately half a year for the software to become one that doesn't blur details in order to decrease noise on the picture, the K850i turned out to be a problematic one before even being launched, since the manufacturer put fake pictures in the German official site's gallery and the first phones to appear took pictures of a quality much inferior to the expectations. The G600 was the latest refreshing exception and it's not a secret that the G800 is even better.
Samsung didn't do anything special, just silently started producing phones whose predecessors on the Japanese and Korean markets were capable of taking 5, 8, or even 10 megapixel pictures years before; there are no big names, like Carl-Zeiss or Cyber-Shot they have just simply presented a phone which easily outshines every possible camera of the highly praised competitors.
Furthermore, in the case of the G800, not only the camera has been taken well care of by the engineers, but the Koreans have launched a phone whose name makes the competitors' directors sweat heavily and in agony: the G800 is simply a great deal.
