We have everything possible except infra. So there is the 2.0 stereo Bluetooth and USB with the same version. Upon connecting the USB cable the phone’s software asks us if we would like to disable Bluetooth – no, I would not like to, as it took me half an hour to enable it through the menu, since it is hidden (very cruelly) in the network settings submenu. Thank you. By the way the phone can be charged through USB and we can enable it to function just like a flash drive (the memory card appears as an external drive) or we can move data with the help of Samsung PC Studio.
For browsing, the G800 can use GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA networks. The browser is also a product of Acces, I had expected a lot from it but I was disappointed; we’ll show you the home page of Mobilarena right away which doesn’t really look perfect. Anyway if we give up page braking by width, things start to get better, but than we have to scroll horizontally too. It is advised to browse in this view anyway, because page size can be set in 10 steps which is a great advantage on such a large screen, the content can be browsed much easier this way. Unbelievably the software doesn’t support browsing in landscape view.
The front camera is responsible for video calls; I didn’t have any serious problems with quality. But no matter the thicker casing, the battery is not larger than the usual, so the phone suck the battery dry in a day, or two days if it’s not used that much..
I don’t know what kind of an image the reader has of the G800 after reading these 10 pages. I tried to mention all the deficiencies experienced by me, but this does not mean that this Samsung model is not a great phone. The metal casing, the excellent display, the camera which can be considered a pioneer, the advanced data transfer services unite in a splendid way in this handset which, although being a bit heavy, is a really solid one. It is not perfect, but Samsung has now created a device that proves that they are not capable of creating only fashion-phones. The lots of small bugs are a bit annoying, but in its entirety it was very good using the G800 for five days. Although it cannot be highly recommended, but it’s still:
