Display, menu
The greatest savings can be made on the display; at least Samsung has produced dozens of phones where economies have mostly affected the display. This has happened again in the case of F250, which only has a screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, which makes clear that the device follows the pattern of E250.
The menu is a strange mix of the post-BlackUI system from G600 and the purple interface from F300. It is purple: so purple that this cannot be changed, but new windows are opened in the same fascinating whey they did in the G600. There is no theme editor, no wallpaper can be set for the main menu so visual customizability is not one of the strongest features.
It is much better news that F250 has profiles, which have lots of settings. At last people in Korea start to take seriously that any decent phone can vibrate and ring at the same time, and now the manufacturer wanted to emphasize this feature so much, that this can be set up separately for incoming calls and messages, moreover we can set a ringtone of increasing volume with vibration. Another downside is that upon pressing the central button on the main screen, the phone still wants to take us to WAP – this should really be forgotten now. Although in case of a model offered by a network provider, there are reasons for using this feature (income, income, income, extra profit, money, fund, earnings, margin!), then this idiotic habit should really be left out from network-independent devices.
F250 has an important function: almost all features can be used without inserting the SIM card, except of course those that explicitly depend on it. This is an important feature for a musical model. I haven’t yet talked about the shortcut menu, which can be accessed by pushing the navigation button upwards. We can put shortcuts to four different functions, it’s practical to have the profile chooser in here.
