The main camera has a resolution of 2 megapixels and fixed focus, the highest available resolution is 1600 x 1200 pixels. The software is not very advanced, we can choose between landscape and portrait modes (so we can keep the phone anyway we want to), we can set white balance, JPEG compression and there are effects and self-timer. To my greatest surprise the pictures are completely different than those taken with phones with a similar camera from the same manufacturer, a very high noise filter level, high noise levels, soft (blurred) corners and a relatively good edge sharpness are characteristic, so on the whole they have a quite poor quality.
Video recording, however, is surprisingly good: they can be recorded in VGA resolution too, even though speed is only 15 fps in this case. The most interesting thing is that the camera when recording videos, has a completely different view angle than it should, it is around 75 mm if converted to the microfilm system, so it’s as if we would set 2X-3X zoom on a simple digital camera. No, it’s no digital zoom, it’s just simply like this. Here’s a test video.
Fold is not bet in music: we get an AD-83 microUSB microUSB -> 3.5 mm converter that even has all kinds of buttons. This is in which we have to plug the HS-83 headset, which is an earpiece with a great sound quality, we get three sets of rubber pieces, so it will surely fit our ears. The phone is no too good in handsfree, the music player has nothing new either, but it doesn’t even have to, since it’s already great. It can sort tracks by album, artist and genre, it can display album covers, and it can run in the background, so it’s okay. It’s funny that when the handset is closed the currently played track’s title and length is displayed on the external screen to, but we cannot seek. The new 6600 has an FM radio too, there’s not much to talk about it, it works.
