Introduction, packaging

Five Nokia handsets, three Recommended and one Highly recommended award – this is the result of the last period from our point of view. It looks like the Finnish guys have observed the threat of the competitors – Samsung and LG to be more precise – and so they have done what they had to do. Although their touchscreen solution exists only on paper yet, they are still launching their new handsets one after the other, which, as opposed to previous tendencies, have a great price/value ratio too. I wouldn’t believe for a long time that we will see this one day…

The manufacturer enhanced its business portfolio with E66 and E71, so it was time to launch a phone for youngsters that focuses on music, as the otherwise good 5310/5610 duo has been launched over a year ago now. This musical model is the subject of our review, 5320 XpressMusic, which, based on its model number, is evidently the successor of the slim model I’ve mentioned before. Fortunately we don’t have to do with a simple “make-up” version, but there are serious changes, for example the newcomer is a smartphone, it has Symbian OS.

It probably sounds strange but even on the box of the phone, that we got from XXL GSM, we can see some changes. Previously the large packaging was characteristic of the Finnish products, with some added Here's Your Nokia and other similar labels. Compared to this, 5320 came in a mid-sized, youngish cardboard box, which had a charger, a data cable, a headset made of two parts and a 1 GB microSD card and of course the phone itself inside.
