Introduction
The financial crisis didn’t affect Motorola. Or at least not that way. Many have thought about the manufacturer, which got in a very difficult situation last year, that the crisis will finish the company, but they have taken the necessary cost-decreasing and rationalizing steps earlier, while the others have to do these now, so the current recession has been just a smaller problem for the American company.
Due to these the company – in a paradox way – has an optimistic view of the future and no matter how desolate has been the stand of Motorola at Barcelona, the manufacturer thinks that as the economy starts to go up a bit, they will be able to keep up with the increasing demand. Until then they have to survive somehow and they don’t have much handsets to offer. After the recently reviewed VE538, now VE66 tries to satisfy customers’ needs.
Even if the manufacturer doesn’t have a large portfolio of phones, they try to fill this gap by creating high-quality accessories. We will have a look at these as well in the near future, but first let’s see how well the transitional model VE66 can perform on the market.
