Google's Android operating system is appearing on more and more mobiles, thus proving the universality of the new software environment. Android-based phones, even in spite of minor flaws, will be conquering an increasing size from the market during this year, the reasons being the easily customizable, advanced multimedia capabilities and that it's fully free to license. The global recession will probably have a great impact on phone manufacturers in 2009, and for them the decreasing production costs will mean the use of free solutions.
