HTC Dream or T-Mobile G1, based on Google's open operating system, are not the most beautiful phones on the market, but fortunately other manufacturers have quite promising offers, and an increasing number of these have a huge touchscreen, in accordance with current trends. After the recently announced General Mobile SDTL1 here is the Xphone-SDK reference design from Chinese Yuhua, which might be turned into an end product by other manufacturers. The phone, featuring only EDGE support and 128 MB RAM/256 MB ROM, doesn't have as much features as HTC's handset, but the Chinese design company promised to announce a 3G variant as well. The spreading of Google's platform didn't happen yet, but there will be some surprises this year for sure, as Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson and Motorola might all launch Android phones.
