It looks like RIM's not yet announced first clamshell, KickStart, won't be too expensive. The handset that is going to be available at T-Mobile, might have a price-tag under $50 USD, in case of a two-year long fidelity contract. RIM has previously announced that they are expecting a great success from the second half of the year, which will be due not only to high-end models, but they also expect to gain a serious market share thanks to the reasonably priced entry-level handsets. One of the reasons for this aggressive price policy from RIM is the success of cheap Palm models, while on the other hand Apple iPhone 3G is also coming cheap, which is although not a direct opponent, but might still be dangerous. It is not yet known when will the BlackBerry clamshell be available in Europe and no information is available on the European pricing either.
