According to CNet Asia, Samsung will officially announce the white-backed edition of i900 Omnia in Singapore this week. The change affects only the back of the handset, the front remains the same. August, however, brings not only a new color, but a new software too, which will provide even more mobile widgets and it will have extended support for text entry in Chinese. It is not yet known which markets will be the new color available on, but Samsung usually makes its recolored phone available in Europe and the US too, with a small delay.
