Yesterday this year's Mobile World Congress has started with Sony Ericsson's announcements. The official opening has been today, however, and we have visited Samsung's stand at first, but since at nine o'clock there were security guards at the entrance, we started to get acquainted with Sagem's new devices.
Upon our return to Samsung there were about 20 U900 Soul phones waiting, so we made a lot of pictures and we shall share them with You too. We already wrote about the device that it is 12.9 mm thick one equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and it is capable of 7.2 Mbit HSDPA.
The specialty of Soul that instead of the usual navigational interface we get an OLED touchscreen and we can navigate in the menus with this. The icons on-screen change based on where we are in the menu, so handling is much easier this way. The phone gives feedback for our touches in the form of a shake, but it was evident after the short test that navigation takes time to get used to. This has been confirmed by a couple of Samsung guys at the stand, but after getting used to it there will probably be no problem with it.
