Given the fact that after the opening of MWC many of the large manufacturers' stands were closed, we first stormed the stand of Chinese-owned manufacturer Sagem, as we were curious if they are still producing only low-end devices.
We figured out after 2 minutes that the designers have been changed at the company, as most of the new devices look pretty cool. The top is the 12.6 mm thick My721x which is covered in polished metal and bears the name "So Ice".
The phone is very pleasant at touch and has a 3.2 megapixel camera on its back and I have to say that this really started us up. It is a pity however that we didn't see any "autofocus" label so it is very probable that it has a fixed focus camera. The display is a 2" one and at first glance it seems to have QVGA resolution, although this is not mentioned in the specifications. The keypad didn't seem as a quality make, but it is still a great leap forward compared to former models.
As for the other features we didn't find anything impressive unfortunately. Bluetooth, microSD, MMS, video- and music playback is the list which is quite "decent". The device weighing 90 grams will be available as of April and its success will again depend on the sum on the price label.
