The Finnish manufacturer has announced many times that they are committed to the Linux platform, although they are not planning to use it mostly in phone, but in internet tablets (MIDs). Nokia Sparrow, pictured below, is currently just a design concept, but it will be based on Linux, the heart of the device being the recently announced multicore ARM Sparrow CPU. The device, having almost every feature of a netbook, will be a slider similar to the N800 and N810 MIDs, but hopefully the diamond-shaped keys will be redesigned. The special feature of the device is not its design, but the widget-based user interface, which will display all running applications as a transparent widget. It's enough to stroke the display and we can instantly change between applications. Currently this is all we know of the device and that we shouldn't be looking for it in stores before 2011.
