Introduction, packaging
It’s always hard to test a low-end phone. Firstly, the review itself is hard to compose in a way that it becomes readable, as there is nothing new, the list of features is short, so maybe in the introduction I can say something that turns away all users from reading through all the well-known features. Still, I’m in serious trouble with LG KP230, available from Vodafone.
Such phones become attractive usually because of their price tag. This is by far the most price-sensitive segment on the market; a couple of tens of euros difference might decide the fate of a handset forever. Taking a look at the website of the red colored network provider I observed that the fate of our review’s subject has been already decided, as it’s far from being the cheapest phone. To be more exact, there are six phone in front of it, including some that are smarter, better and even Nokias, the latter having a great deal of advantage compared to the others.
So the little LG, provided by GSM Takács, might be saved only by its design, but it has its disadvantages even here, as it has the Live! menu preinstalled on it, which is hated by many, and this comes with a Vodafone logo on the front, which is also an element that is not like by most users. As you might have guessed based on these infos, the package of the phone is completely red and has only a mono headset besides the charger. As the phone cannot play back music, packing a normal headset would have been unnecessary.
