Camera, summary
The camera has VGA resolution and fixed focus. There is a surprising number of settings, we can set the amount of JPEG compression and white balance too. As extra features we have a delay timer, image sequences (max. 3 pictures) and we can use some effects. KP230 cannot record videos. It’s no use talking much about the quality of pictures, but I still have to: some of the pictures are blurry; the colors are incorrect on others, while the dynamic range is quite large on some photos. It’s worth taking a look at the last photo: although I have taken the shot of the temple in counterlight, it didn’t burn out, and neither did the sky.

Summary: LG KP230 is not a bad handset, it’s perfect for making calls, and the number of extras is satisfactory in this category. Still it is overpriced, it currently costs 75 EUR, which is 24 more than the price of Sony Ericsson Z310i, which has similar features. If we’re willing to pay 4 EUR in extra, than we can get a Sharp GX-29, with QVGA display, and that’s it.
