According to previous information Sony Ericsson has announced its latest Walkman phone. Sony Ericsson W705 is based on the previous G705 and so it has WLAN support, so it can connect to the internet almost anywhere, through a WLAN hotspot and we can even watch YouTube videos on the phone. Besides this the WLAN module also provides access to home DLNA multimedia networks. The new phone also supports shake control, automatic screen rotation and it can recognize tracks played in the radio with TrackID. The Walkman phone with a 2.4", 240 x 320 pixels large display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with fix focus, HSDPA support, YouTube access, full NetFront HTML browser and a 4 GB M2 card is 95 x 47.5 x 14.3 mm large, weighs 98 grams and is expected by early next year at an unspecified price.
Besides the musical phone a musical amplifier has also been announced: it has a diagonal of 20 cm and weighs 2.3 kg. MBS-900 is a 2.1 compact sound system and can receive music via a standard 3.5 mm jack input or stereo Bluetooth and it also has a built-in FM receiver. The amplifier with an OLED display is also expected by Q1 2009.
