The microSD card-based SlotMusic sound carrier, recently announced by SanDisk, has been launched this week at American Best Buy and Wal-Mart. The 1 GB cards, available at $14.99 USD, have 320 kilobit standard MP3 music files, videos and other extra materials. The SlotMusic package includes a miniSD, SD and USB converter too, so it's compatible with most devices. The European premiere of SlotMusic is expected by Q1 2009. Albums of the following artists from EMI Music, Sony BMG, Universal Music and Warner Music will be available on the American market before the Christmas season: ABBA, Chris Brown, Coldplay, Connie Talbot, Daughtry, Don’t Quit Fitness Bundle, Elvis Presley, Five Finger Death Punch, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Buffet, Katy Perry, Keane, Kelly Clarkson, Kiss, Leona Lewis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metro Station, MIA, Nelly, New Kids On the Block, e-Yo, Nickelback, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Rise Against, Robin Thicke, Saving Abel, Shwayze, Solange, Sugarland, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Usher, Weezer and Young Jeezy.
