Samsung S9110: Thin watch-phone with slim features

Chinese manufacturers have been pumping out all kinds of watch-phones for a long time, and these have evolved both in terms of design and usability over the time. The basic idea is not bad at all, as a phone on our wrist could come in handy during sports or some relaxation during the evening, as it needs no pocket and it's practically impossible to lose it. Strangely no manufacturer has thought of water-resistant watch-phones or of those that have GPS support, although these would be really useful when hiking or when going to the beach, as there are lots of people who don't like to leave their not very cheap phones unattended while having a bath. As for the larger manufacturers, LG has been the first to launch a watch-phone, one with HSDPA and video call features. We know about the two South-Korean manufacturers, that if one of them launches something, the other will also do, so it's no surprise that Samsung came up with their own watch-phone.

As for its features, Samsung S9110 has even less than most Chinese models, as its 40 MB of internal memory cannot be expanded, and so the presence of stereo Bluetooth support doesn't have that much meaning, but anyway, in terms of design, the less than 12 mm thickness and the 1.76" diagonal capacitive touchscreen (176 x 220 mm large) are a great hit. The 57.5 x 47.1 x 11.95 mm large stainless steel watch-phone, weighing 91 grams, features GPRS support and a 650 mAh battery and it's being launched in France this month at a price of 450 euros.
