LG has announced its first watch-phone at CES, which is the first in its category to feature HSDPA support and video calling, and according to rumors all this is coming at a low price. Although the South-Korean manufacturer has did its best in terms of design, handling the tiny touchscreen still doesn't seem very simple and the bit thick shape is not very practical either. The watch-phone concept, pictured below, is made for a completely different public: it wants to create the category of cheap watch-phones, that "can be sold". The device is practically a mobile with a monochrome display and a two-row keypad, which can be placed on our wrists like a bracelet, but it can also be folded and then it functions like a standard phone. The idea is in fact good, as a watch-phone, used as a secondary mobile, can be a great help when it would be uncomfortable to have a phone in our pocket, or due to external noise it would be impossible to hear the phone ringing. Fastening the phone to our wrist doesn't require a pocket or any other accessory and in case of an incoming call the vibrating alert will surely attract attention.
