Last year several Chinese manufacturers have launched mobile phones hidden in a watch, but after the original enthusiasm the market seems to slow down. Handling these rather futuristic devices is looks quite hard due to the tiny display and the lack of a standard keypad, and they don't even have a good uptime, all this coming in a usually clumsy design, so the devices that look good in a display case are not that good to wear.

Usually Samsung and LG are the most receptive to new technical solutions from the large manufacturers, so it has been expected that one of them will launch a similar device. The LG GD910 watch phone, announced this February, still doesn't look like an ordinary watch, due to its thickness of 13.9 mm, but the 7.2 megabit HSDPA and video call support and the 1.4" touchscreen could still make it attractive for the technocratic users. The device, coming to Orange, is rumored to cost 600 euros, even with a two-year contract, but this can be considered only speculation until the official announcement.
