After Nokia N95, being a huge leap in features, N96 has been a disappointment for the technocrat public because of its slower CPU and there were a couple of people who have imagined the Finnish manufacturer's first touchscreen phone differently than 5800 XpressMusic. No matter what we say, the Finnish manufacturer has fallen a bit back in the race of phones sporting 8 megapixel cameras and WVGA (800 x 480) displays. This, however, will change. The table below, provided by Engadget, shows that the manufacturer has prepared some serious products for the first half of 2009. It is important to note, however, that the products enlisted below are not final products, just prototypes available for Nokia's internal departments or business partners. Some of these prototypes will never become real products, while other might be updated several times. Some of the phones are worth taking a closer look. "Ivalo", planned for the end of the year, will probably be the Nseries couple fo 5800, with a 3.5" touchscreen, 32 GB of internal memory, an FM transmitter, TV-out and a 5 megapixel camera. Fans of photography will probably prefer "Corolla", which sports a 3", 480 x 640 pixels large display, a QWERTY keyboard, WLAN and GPS, 8 GB of internal memory and an 8 megapixel camera. Another exciting model is "Eitri", which could have a 3.5", 640 x 360 pixels large touchscreen, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel camera and a minimum of 8 GB of internal memory. According to the table Nokia N85 will have an updated edition called "Athlon", which will feature a Xenon flash and 8-16 GB of internal memory.
