It's a new thing that 6.5 has a new web browser, which finally supports Flash content. At the event it has been emphasized that the new browser can bring the visual experience of desktop computers.

Another new thing is My Phone, which is a free service for Windows Phone (a new collective name for phones running WM) owners, providing a comfortable backup method. With the service we can even set up automatic backups, thus avoiding the downfalls of a data loss. The service will be available later on for the 6.1 and 6.0 versions of the OS, besides 6.5.

The new system's Windows Marketplace for Mobile service is a webshop, which currently has 20,000 applications ready to download.

Microsoft has also signed a cooperation agreement with HTC, LG and Orange amongst others. According to the announcement the new Windows Mobile 6.5 will be installed on LG-GM7300. HTC's freshly announced Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2 will come with WM 6.1, but the Taiwanese company will offer a free upgrade for these handsets as soon as the OS will become available this fall.
