The second South-Korean manufacturer announced its latest phones focusing on social networks, providing simultaneous access to multiple popular networks, being capable of automatically receiving updates and announcements, but thanks to Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support they can be used by business users for instant email reception.
LG GW520, featuring a 2.8" touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard features the new LiveSquare function, which allows animated icons to be displayed on the standby screen, representing most searched contacts on the social forums. The handset with a closed operating system also has a 3.2 megapixel camera, 7.2 megabit HSDPA support, an advanced web browser and stereo Bluetooth as well.
LG GT505, which lacks any standard keyboard, has the WisePilot navigation software pre-installed, this having 30 days of free use. The handset has a 3" touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera, also featuring GPS and WLAN modules, but the highest supported HSDPA speed is "only" 3.6 Mbps.
The launch dates and pricing of LG GW520 and GT505 are not yet known, but it's sure that the British customers will be the first to buy the new social networking phones.
