The successor of Viewty has been announced under the name LG Viewty Smart, and its indeed much more compact, just as it has been rumored. The newcomer is very similar in design and software to the LG Arena, the first phone with the new S-Class 3D UI, but this time the huge storage space has been changed to a better camera. The updated phone has a 3", 800 x 480 pixels large capacitive multitouch display, an 8 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens and a dual-LED flash, WLAN, GPS and stereo Bluetooth, Dolby Mobile and DivX/XviD support. The phone is only 12 mm thick and weighs 90 grams, but as opposed to previous information, it doesn't have a Xenon flash, but this is compensated by the high ISO 1600 sensitivity. LG GC900 Viewty Smart will first be available from Orange UK, expectedly in June, at a yet unknown price.
