HTC's smartphone, equipped with a 800 x 480 pixels large touchscreen, has been caught on picture. The handset is expected to be launched under the name HTC Touch HD. The phone with a huge "projection canvas" still cannot be considered a competitor of Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, even though the screen resolution is the same, as this one has no physical QWERTY keyboard. The popular TouchFLO 3D interface is here and its speed is provided by a Qualcomm 7201A 528 MHz CPU, working together with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. The handset of course supports HSDPA and WLAN, and has a GPS receiver too. On the multimedia part Touch HD can boast with a 5 megapixel camera and a standard 3.5 mm headset output. Equipped with a 1350 mAh, the 115 x 62.8 x 12mm large HTC Touch HD is expected to be launched by the end of the year.
