HTC has officially announced its low-priced handset, previously known as "Opal". The main characteristics of HTC Touch Viva are not its outstanding features, but it's reduced price. The handset has the updated, non-3D version of HTC TouchFLO. Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, running on a 2.8", 240 x 320 pixels touchscreen has only a 201 MHz TI OMAP CPU, in the company of 256 MB Flash memory and 128 MB RAM that can be expanded with a microSD card. The handset has no GPS or 3G, but there is WLAN, Bluetooth and EDGE support. The 104.5 x 59 x 15.75 mm large handset, weighing 110 grams, has a 2 megapixel fix-focus camera and a 1100 mAh battery that provides 480 minutes of talk time with one charge. Launch date and price are uknown.
