Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, thinks that the Android operating system will be highly successful this year. Upon the occasion of this announcement, the leaders of Google didn't yet reveal any exact details about how much profit does the Android system bring for the company, but according to the CEO many operators and hardware manufacturer will be using the platform, so we should expect the announcement of many new products. As we know, currently HTC is the only manufacturer which does in fact make Android models, although it's true that Huawei, LG, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson are all working on similar solutions. The netbook edition of Android has a serious potential, according to Mr. Schmidt, but currently he mentions it only as a system created by others, so it's not clear whether Google will support these developments or not.
