Manufacturers have shown interest in 3D and multimedia glasses for a long time, as with the help of two tiny built-in displays and an appropriate lens system, a huge virtual display can be produced in a very small size, which can only be seen by the wearer of the accessory, hence he can view photos, videos or confidential documents or browse the internet without anyone being able to also see what he's doing. Multimedia eyeglasses didn't have an outbreaking success until now, mostly because of their high price and too large size, compared to cell phones, and furthermore, these kinds of accessories can only be used during travel. Motorola's new patent, however, brings the success of multimedia eyeglasses to a completely new dimension, since the eyegelass would practically be the phone itself, while one of the arms of the eyeglass would be the flip of the keyboard, the other being the screen protector. The solution would function as a cell phone with a flip and a huge display on one hand, and as a multimedia glass on the other. It is not yet known if Motorola, who's goind through a difficult period, is working on such a product, but if they have such ideas then we could be facing a comeback of Motorola.
