Menu, basic functions
Well, Sagem has nothing to do with this menu, as I think no one has to do anything with it. They have just simply taken the menu of T280, they both have a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, so there’s no need for any development, is it? They’ve put together four new themes (which aren’t very good in my opinion) and that’s about the full work of the development department.
So this really old menu has nothing new, no extras. It’s still a pleasant surprise that the phonebook capacity has increased since T280, we can now store 1000 contacts. A contact can have only three phone numbers and an email address, and there is no tabbed view.
We won’t see any grand or extravagant new feature in messaging either. The phone can store 500 SMS messages, multimedia messages are stored in the internal memory, which is 10 MB large. Unfortunately there is no email client, although this has been present even on T230i, but since then it has worn of from this segment. T9 is here to help tying text messages, while we can’t compose MMSs until we don’t configure the necessary network settings.
The alarm clock can store a single time point, which can repeat, but we can’t set snooze time. The single option for the alarm sound is that we can enable the FM radio if we might want to wake up to Chocolate rain… The calendar is simple as well, it has only a month view, we can store a single type of entry, which can have a subject, a time and an alarm. That’s it. There is no code memory, the calculator has only basic functions, but the list of PIM features includes a flashlight, which – since there is no flash with the camera – turns on a completely white background. I can’t say it blinded me, but it might be handy when trying to find a keyhole.
