Basic functions, data transfer
I had no problems during phone calls; sound quality was great on the 3G network too, signal strength was constantly okay. The handset has a fine sound quality through the speakers, which will come in handy at music playback.
The phonebook is again perfect, thanks to the Symbian OS. We can store name until there is free memory, which means an unlimited number of entries in practice. There are lots of extra fields by default, but we can also create new ones if we miss something. Messaging is also okay, MMS messages have a size limit of 300 KB; there is an email client, which supports authenticated IMAP servers and attachments. The web browser is of course the good old MiniMap, so browsing is a great experience, even on the relatively small screen.
5320 has a quad-band GSM module (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and it also supports third generation networks. We can use GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA for data transfer, the latter one works at a speed of 3.6 Mbps. There is no WiFi or GPS inside, but Bluetooth and microUSB are both of version 2.0, the first supports stereo sound transfer (A2DP), the latter one can work in Mass Storage mode.
