The GPS receiver is a 20-band SiRF-Star III, I had no problem with its use. However, I asked the question if the phone will be able to run iGO8 with such an amount of memory. As I didn’t yet have the opportunity to take a look at the new software, I can only speculate, but I think that 28 MB won’t be enough for this task.
The battery has a capacity of 1530 mAh, it can keep the machine online for 2 days with normal usage.
Conclusion: E-TEN glofiish X600 is an interesting handset. It’s assembled in a professional way, it has an ideal size, it is fast and its software is okay too. It has nothing to boast about in terms of data transfer, as both 3G and HSDPA are missing, but it has a basically good list of features. It has GPS support, which is very positive, but the 64 MB RAM and the poor camera spoil the overall picture quite much. Its gross price is somewhat over 390 EUR – I think its worth that much for those who want a small, smart Pocket PC-phone. The Cool award goes more for its exterior as there would be much to improve on the inside.
