Windows Mobile 6.1 has arrived

Hirdetés

Microsoft has unveiled Windows Mobile 6.1 and its highly extended version of Internet Explorer at CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas. The new version of the operating system for smartphones brings easier use and safer data storage, while maintaining the comfortability of the desktop edition. The new Internet Explorer easily displays web pages in fullscreen mode and is compatible with practically all important standards. It can display H.264 videos, Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight content. The new OS makes missed calls, upcoming events and incoming messages accessible in an easy and comfortable manner. It is now much easier setting up a mailbox, adding a Bluetooth headset or connecting to a WiFi network, which are evidently important elements of comfortable use. The new system provides easy access to private corporate networks hidden behind a firewall and company mails, through Exchange Server 2007 SP1 support. The software will be available as an upgrade in Q3 2008 and it is expected to be included in new handsets before the end of the year.
