Microsoft is not afraid of either the Android platform or the upcoming Apple iPhone 3G's groundbreaking success, at least this is what we can tell of the company's Asian HQ's extremely optimistic forecasts. According to the leader responsible for embedded devices, they are expecting a 50% growth rate in the Asian region in 2008 and in 2009 too. The company is succesful mostly on the American and the European market, but they are having a hard time in overcoming barriers in Brasil and India, due to competitors. If everything goes as planned, than until June 30 2008 they will sell 20 million Windows Mobile-based devices, which is expected to have a serious expansion in the next years according to the highly optimistic plans.
