A while ago the Finnish manufacturer has also tried to launch a couple of handsets in the 5xxx series, made for an active lifestyle, but then they have abandoned these mobile and nowadays they have mostly musical phones in this series. After the success of Sonim's heavy-duty handsets we have heard some rumors that Samsung is also announcing a couple of handsets with similar specs at a lower price, and now Samsung B2100 Xplorer has arrived, which can take it for up to thirty minutes one meter under the water, it resists dust, moist and shocks as well, which is approved by the European IP57 and the American MIL-STD-810F certifications. The handset sports a 1.77", 128 x 160 pixels large TFT display, a 1.3 megapixel camera with a flash, EDGE support, a stereo FM radio and 8 MB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 8 GB with a microSDHC card. The 113 x 48.9 x 17.4 mm large Samsung B2100 Xplorer, weighing 102.8 grams, will be first available in Germany as of April, but its price is not yet known.
