Sony Ericsson has a self-examination

Hirdetés

The chief of the Japanese-Swedish manufacturer had a surprising announcement, stating that he has ordered the full examination of all products currently being developed. The leader said that from now on they have to take the needs of developing countries for cheap phones into consideration, as that could mean a great market share for the company if they can target them with proper phones at decent prices. Sony Ericsson's first quarter this year has been much weaker than expected, the main reason for this being that due to changes in needs on the market, the company cannot fully satisfy them. Due to these results, all devices being developed by Sony Ericsson, that have been planned to be released at the end of 2008 and in the first part of 2009, will now be examined one by one to see how much do they comply with requirements on the market. Some phones might be cancelled, in order to provide the necessary amount of resources for the development of more important handsets. Sony Ericsson still invests large sums in research and development projects, but these will be much more examined than before.
