Sony Ericsson announced the first member of their latest "F", "Fun", series in mid-June, the handset is F305, designed for gaming and entertainment. As opposed to the Finnish manufacturer's N-Gage phones, Sony Ericsson's gaming machine is launched at a lower price so those don't have to give up gaming who can't afford a very expensive handset. The phone, instead of supporting native applications, can run Java games, but this doesn't mean a serious compromise at all. The Japanese-Swedish manufacturer's 3D Java engine is the most advanced implementation available on the market, so besides being capable of running many applications at the same time, these can access the phone's camera, gravity sensor, they can use 3D graphics, video and digital sounds too and they don't have a size limit either. According to the manufacturer's datasheet, the F305 gaming console is coming with a 512 MB M2 card, which contains 50 games, additionally to the 11 ones on the phone. Sony Ericsson F305 has a 176 x 220 pixels large display and a 2 megapixel camera, it is 96 x 47 x 14.6 mm large, weighs 97.5 grams and it will probably be available this month.
