The design and functions of Sony Ericsson G705 have been uncovered earlier, but there have been new details revealed at the announcement today. The 2.4", 240 x 320 pixels large display is primarily good for browsing, the displayed picture is automatically rotated, thanks to the built-in gyroscope. Besides HSDPA and HSUPA support G705 can use WLAN too, this feature can be used for UMA calls too in the G705u model, made especially for Orange. With the help of the built-in aGPS receiver Google Maps and Wayfinder can be used, but the GPS coordinates get saved on the images too, which are taken with the 3.2 megapixel camera with fixed focus and a LED flash. According to the agreement between Google and Sony Ericsson there have been a number of solutions embedded from the search giant, thus G705 has direct access to YouTube videos, thus up- and download are both available. There is a stereo headset for the advanced music player and stereo FM radio and we can also find a 1 GB M2 card in the box too. The 95 x 41 x 14.3 mm large slider, weighing 98 grams, has DLNA certification and it will be available in Europe by the end of 2008, those living in the United States have to wait until the beginning of 2009.
