The name of RIM is maybe less popular than the BlackBerry business phones of the manufacturer or the Push-email solution. The manufacturer made something new again for the businessman that like QWERTY keyboards. The main problem with the sliding keyboard - says the manufacturer - is that they are not enough confortable when they are laid to table. The new Tilt-and-Slide concept is to solve it. After sliding the keyboard the angle of the keyboard and the display is ideal for typing and browsing, too when it's placed to table. The patent mentions that the phones using this will be based on multi-touch displays. It's currently unknown when this solution will be available but the RIM clearly copyrighted the patent not just for fun.
