The coming of the first Apple iPhone model has been preceded by a great interest from users, which seems to be no less now. British O2, for example, has reported that while in the case of the first model there were only 35 thousand pre-registrations for being the first to get Apple's phone, this number has increased to 130 thousand in the case of the second model. While in the United States the lack of 3G wasn't so serious thanks to WLAN support, in Europe, due to weak WLAN coverage, the only EDGE-capable phone, which has been rather expensive, wasn's such a great success. The new iPhone 3G has been enhanced from both points of view: on one hand it supports 3G, HSDPA to be more precise, while on the other hand it costs half of the first model. This will attract many, just like aGPS-based navigation and the email client that supports popular document formats. So iPhone 3G's success can be taken for sure, which is of course known by Apple, so the planned 14 million sales doesn't seem exaggerated. The subscription price of the 8 GB model, coming on July 11, is $199 USD, while the 16 GB edition will cost $299 USD.
