iSHARE's market research tells that 91% of the Japanese is not planning to buy an Apple iPhone. The market research has been the result of a declaration form Japanese SoftBank, that claimed that they want to launch Apple's handset. iSHARE thinks that the target users of the device could be the 20-49 year old ones that actively use the internet. iSHARE's questionnaire has been filled in by 402 people between June 5 and 6. It is important to know that this has been before the new model's price has been announced. 39.8% of the asked ones is a client of NTT DoCoMo, 26.9% is from au, 22.9% uses Softbank Mobile, while 6.5% came from another network operator. Only 36 asked ones (which means a mere 8.9%) that they are planning to buy an iPhone, while most of these people (6.2% of the total) said that they would be using it as their primary phone. iSHARE conducted a similar analysis last July, related to the first iPhone, where 9.6% of the asked ones would have liked to get one, while 62.2% of the asked ones would have only taken such a decision only after knowing the price and specs. iSHARE's research regarding the changeability of mobile phones' battery had a result that 77.1% of cell phone owners vote on changeable batteries, so the fixed battery can have a negative effect on sales.
